3rd/4th/5th Grade ELA Students have wrapped up their 1st Semester with Novel Studies... and all three books were rated ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
✝️3rd Grade read Barbara Robinson's The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and learned a little something about the meaning of Christmas and treating all with kindness.
🎅🏼4th Grade read Eoin Colfer's Juniper's Christmas, and learned to never give up and fight for what you believe in and those you love most.
🎄5th Grade read J.K. Rowling's The Christmas Pig, and loved the dramatic fantasy. They learned that losing is a part of living, but those we love and lose don't ever really leave us... they are with us in our memories.
Kids love being read to, no matter their age... and what fun it is as the reader to hear their gasps and giggles. My favorite, almost daily, comment was, "One more chapter!! Please!!"❤️
Due to the slick roads and high winds the ABO school district will have a 9:15 start for Thursday, Dec. 19. The Blunt route bus will depart at 8:30. Please allow for additional drive time to school, drive the road conditions, and arrive safely!
Frida the elf is keeping our little artists on their toes with a new surprise every day! ❄️ Today, she challenged them to a 'treat flip' game! 🍬 Students had to flip over cups to see if they found a sweet surprise. 🍭 The excitement was contagious! ✨ (Swipe to see some of Frida's other mischievous moments this week!)

Physical science students are getting ready for the Great American Egg Car Race! They need to create a car that can survive the trek down the ramp and protect its precious egg cargo!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Ag Class. Throughout the past few weeks, the middle school agricultural class has been busy learning how to safely use woodworking tools, assembly, and staining their Christmas trees.

The Juniors in Mr. Dekker's US Government class are conducting their two mock trials as their end of semester assessment. Today we saw the fictional case of the State of South Dakota v. Alli Snow, with the State of SD receiving the win!
The elves have been bringing treats to the 6th grade Life Management classes for the past week. Today, they received 'custom' pencils. Some students were more excited than others. 🤣😉
Join us after the Christmas concert to admire the incredible artwork created by our talented young artists! The art exhibition will be located in the Elementary Hallway immediately following the concert. Let's celebrate their creativity! Take a moment to appreciate the amazing artwork and capture the memories by taking photos of your child with their artwork. Please remember to not touch or take down any of the artwork. All projects will be sent home within the next 3 days. We can't wait to share these wonderful creations with you!
