
The Sully Buttes Marching Band has been practicing for months to get ready for the Gypsy Days Parade. The parents treated them to breakfast this morning to show their appreciation for all of their hard work and preparation!! Go Charger Band!! Good luck at Gypsy Days!









FCCLA Foster Closet Drive

Our FCCAL students will be gathering items at the Herreid-Selby football game on October 11th.

Teamwork Makes The Dream Work!

Mrs. Tassler’s Art students are having a GLOW-ING good time this week! 🎨✨ Our 2nd graders have been busy creating these amazing sugar skulls with glow-in-the-dark paint. They look spooky and cool during the day, but just wait until you see them under black lights!


The Sully Buttes Student Council attended a fall leadership conference at the Casey Tibbs Center in Fort Pierre.







Third graders learning about plant reproduction and pollination from Marla Huse. They got to enjoy some pineapple and home grown grapes from her garden as part of the lab. Good stuff!







Our 7th grade Art class is finally finishing up their incredible paper mache sculptures! We’re so excited to start painting them next week. Their “Alebrijes” are inspired by the Mexican artist Lourdes Villagómez, and we’re celebrating Latin American heritage with these vibrant and whimsical creations. Can’t wait to share the final results!

8th graders reviewed equations today for their Equation Test on Monday. We had 4 winners! Way to go students!




Learning our note values in many different ways. Today's lesson involved Play Dough and forming the notes and rests. Third graders are creative.

Sully Buttes Volleyball Fans
Tuesday, October 8th, will be Dig for a Cure night at the game in Highmore during the Pirates vs. Chargers volleyball games. We will have a Chinese Auction, Bike Raffle, and Quilt Auction along with the Hyde County Steps for Hope Free Will Donation Supper starting at 5:30 in the East Wing of the Auditorium (serving pork loin sandwiches, chips, beans, and bars). We invite everyone to wear their Trey’s Tribe, KP, or Pink shirts.

A big shout out to our ABO Custodian Staff for Custodian Appreciation Day! We are so blessed to have Chris Heath, Jamie Van Winsen, and Rebecca Lyons as our full-time custodial staff. Inside and out our campus always looks great! We also appreciate our summer help as well! Thank you Jamie Spencer-Pullman and Kristen Pittmann for all of your help. It is a lot of building and lot of grass to take care of and you all do a remarkable job!
