High School Halloween Part 2

The ABO School District will host a Veterans Day program on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm. All veterans and community members are invited to attend.

Middle school Halloween Rewind

On Wednesday, November 2, Sixth through Twelfth Grade students will be participating in Kids Voting South Dakota. The goal of this program is to create lifelong voting habits in students, increasing family communication about citizenship and encouraging greater adult voter turnout. The students will only be voting on the election of candidates and not the ballot questions. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to participate and learn about our democracy.

To Infinity and Beyond!!

Halloween Rewind - high school style!

Trunk or Treaters, we will be awarding a few prizes for the best participants. The categories are most uniquely decorated trunk, most creative trunk, and best comstume. Lets have some halloween fun! 🎃🎃

Our local American Legion Auxiliary came into the 3rd grade classroom to donate a dictionary to every student to keep! They have been doing this locally and nationally for many years.

3rd grade has started learning multiplication. They learned about arrays and made some of their own from google eyes and had to write about the array they made!

Nominate your favorite Teacher! We have great teachers here in the ABO school district show your support for them!

Reminder, Tonight’s football game’s start time is 6:00.
Also, on Tuesday 11/1/22 the Sully Buttes volleyball team will travel to Potter Co. for their region 6B first round match.

Heart Warming story:
The Superintendents office received a phone call today. The fellow told me that he was volunteering at a eatery in Ft Pierre last night. He felt compelled to call this morning and compliment the group of SRs he was able to visit with while they ate! Compliments like “they were so polite”, “your kids were so kind to all the volunteers” & “ you should be so proud” were a few of the accolades. I thanked him and told him we needed to share this positivity b/c to often it’s the other way that gets spotlighted.
So I hung up and proceeded to track down everyone that was there, I put them in a classroom without knowledge of what was to happen…after a few tense moments these fine men and women realized they weren’t in trouble and were able to beam with pride! Pride that was well deserved b/c they were recognized as the good kids they truly are.
So, I share this with you all and if you see one of them, pat them on the back b/c they made you, the parents, the community & this school look really good last night!!

Happy Halloween, Charger Nation 👻🎃
