We are making another pivot to try to do what is best for our athletes. Today, instead of going to Gettysburg, we will be going to Pierre (Hillsview Golf Course) to have an intersquad scrimmage. The Tee Times for our golfers are 2:30 PM and 2:40 PM. Parents are invited to come and watch.
Students will be dismissed at 12:30 at the end of the day and will leave for Pierre around 12:45 PM.

Reminder: SBHS 2026 Prom is Saturday, April 18. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Group pictures will start with the Fresh, Soph, Jr, Sr classes followed by extracurricular activities and clubs. Grand March begins at 8:30, followed by the fun walk, and then a special parents/grandparents/community member dance. Community members will then be asked to leave and the PROM dance will get underway! See the flyer for prices for student prom attendees. ( No charge for community members.)
Advanced Biology students had an amazing opportunity on Thursday to visit the NSU Human Anatomy Lab and Nursing Simulation. It was a beautiful day to visit campus, and we even got a change to speak with Sully Buttes alumni, President LaFave!

On Tuesday afternoon tune in to see Cheyenne receive the 2026 Raven Scholarship and see Cheyenne, Jaydn Jaeger and Nevaeh Westphal receive their South Dakota FFA State Degrees. We’re proud of these students & their accomplishments!

Chargers Invite Varsity Track Meet Schedule

Due to the number of activities scheduled next week, we will be making an adjustment to our track schedule.
The team will not attend the Pierre Legion Relays on Friday, April 24th. Instead, we will compete at the Ipswich Tigers Relays on Saturday, April 25th.
Making this change allows our students to spend more time in school during the week. We believe this adjustment is in our students' best academic interest.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

The Ag Metal Fab classes refurbished the community kiddie train cars in class. Students fixed all broken welds, repaired braces, and replaced the axels and wheels. Thanks to Mr. Heath for rounding up the new parts.
There will be no school on Monday, April 20, 2026, due to a funeral being held at the school that day. This will not be an E-Learning Day and students will not be required to make-up the day.

Due to the projected forecast for next week, the Sully Buttes Track team will now attend the Bob Judson Track Meet in Pierre on Monday, April 13th.
As a result, the team will not attend the Aberdeen Roncalli Track Meet on Friday, April 17th.

Middle School Headphone Reminder
Parents,
As we prepare for testing next week, we are asking that all middle school students bring a pair of wired (NOT BLUETOOTH) headphones to school tomorrow or Friday if they have them available. Some portions of the test require audio, and headphones will be necessary.
Please note that Bluetooth or wireless headphones are not allowed, so students must bring WIRED headphones only.

We are incredibly proud to announce the talented artists who will be representing our school at the SDHSAA State Visual Arts Competition this weekend!
Location & Event Details
This year’s competition and exhibition will take place in Aberdeen at the ARCC building. The SDHSAA State Art Competition brings together the top high school artists from across South Dakota to compete in categories ranging from traditional painting and sculpture to digital media. It is a fantastic opportunity to see the incredible caliber of student work from all over the state.
