Celebrate 100 Days of Hard Work!

The ABO School District will have a 9:45 am start on Monday, Jan. 26 due to the weather conditions. The Blunt route bus will depart Blunt at 9:00 am. Please travel safely and dress appropriately.

KCCR will not be able to livestream today boys basketball game at the Dakota Valley Classic. Please see the message put out by KCCR.

The ABO School District will be closed on Friday, Jan. 23. This will be Enrichment Learning Day #1 for the 3rd quarter for K-12 students. Please follow your E-Learning procedures. MS/HS households need to email Jeremy.Chicoine@k12.sd.us by noon to receive attendance credit. If your internet is down please text him at 605-222-9578. This is a MS/HS requirement only, one message per household is sufficient. Elementary teachers will maintain a checklist of each parent/student contact for attendance purposes. If a parent/student doesn't respond to email and/or phone call, the student will be considered absent that day.

Coding is just like giving commands and teaching tricks to a dog. The 8th grade Computer Multimedia class has been learning to code by giving commands to Karel the dog on CodeHS.

Our Kindergarten and 1st-grade artists had a blast learning about our Artist of the Month, Keith Haring! To celebrate his iconic style, students created vibrant, colorful tempera paintings. They did an amazing job practicing the Element of Art: Line by incorporating all sorts of different line types—from zig-zags to wavy motions—to bring their masterpieces to life! Sixth grade Life Management class started the new semester off by learning how to properly address envelopes. After writing a letter to someone within the school, they wrote a postcard to be mailed. They then took a field trip to the Onida post office where they learned about the postal service and where letters and packages go when being mailed. Thank you to Angela and Kimmie for hosting us!
